BTh PROGRAMME AT UBI

Greetings to you servant(s) of the Living God in our Saviour's Name Christ Jesus. I write this letter to you as a former student of UBI and/or supporter of UBI to inform you about the latest developments regarding the BTh programme that we have been talking about for some time now. The Lord has opened the way for us to offer the BTh degree at UBI from 2012 through the Baptist Theological College (BTC). Prospective students who have graduated from UBI with our three year Diploma can apply for admission into this programme. If admitted, such a person will need to do one (1) year of study with us to get their BTh qualification. NB: The BTh programme that will be offered is a 480 credit degree – an equivalent of a BTh Honours degree. A person who has completed this degree can proceed to a Masters degree. All those who are interested in enrolling for the BTh degree with us are invited to contact us for further information and application forms. PLEASE NOTE: Closing Date is December 09, 2011. The prospective student must fill in ‘All Application Forms' from BTC.

Return ‘All Application Forms' to UBI by December 9 th , 2011

Application Forms must be accompanied by proof of the following payments into the BTC bank account: (details at bottom of page) BTC Registration Fee of R250 - 50% payment of BTC Semester Tuition = R1,750

The student will only be registered at UBI if their application to BTC is successful. UBI registration will be on January 30 th , 2012

On registraton date at UBI, the student must bring the following: 50% payment of UBI Semester Tuition = R1,800

• Payment for accommodation and meals for 10 days @ R92 per day = R920

• The balance of R1,750 for BTC and R1,800 for UBI is payable on or before May 25 th , 2012.

BTC works on two semesters per year. The BTh cost per semester in 2012 will be R7,100 excluding accommodation and meals.

The total cost for the BTh for the 2012 academic year will be R14,200, excluding accommodation and meals. This is the discounted price that BTC gives to UBI students, which is a 50% reduction. The total undiscounted price would be R21,000.

t would seem that there is a need for alumni to contact UBI and update their contact details, esepcially those of you who have email addresses. If you belong to an Alumni association, it would be good for UBI administration to have a contact name and number for the chairman thereby allowing us to contact them and they in turn can pass on items of interest or news. Doing a mail out for each event we may have, that would be of interest to alumni would be too expensive an exercise, so having someone who could pass on information to others would be wonderful.
