Introducing Dr. George Mnisi -- Principal of UBI
Dr George Mnisi has become the sixth principal of UBI, following Bernard Johanson, Wilfred Hart, David Greene, Albert Xaba, and Moshe Rajuili. Dr Rajuili left at the end of May to take a pastorate in Johannesburg, and Dr Mnisi arrived in mid-July to take over the leadership of UBI.
Dr Mnisi graduated from the University of Fort Hare with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and worked as a Laboratory Supervisor and Product Manager in industry for fifteen years.
He went on to study theology and earned the Bachelor of Theology (Arts) degree from the University of Zululand, the Licentiate in Theology (Honours) from Baptist Theological College, and the Masters and Doctorate degrees from the Rand Afrikaans University.
For the past ten years he has pastored two churches in the Pretoria area. During that time he was also a part-time lecturer at Dorothea Bible School.
Dr Mnisi is married to Sylvia Fikile who works as a medical technologist. They have three grown children.
