Higher Certificate in Theology
This is a 15-module programme which can be completed in one year full-time or in two or more years in Evening School. This programme gives students a survey of the Old and New Testaments and basic Bible doctrine.

Diploma: Theology
Each student who successfully completes the three year programme and passes 45 modules, and whose character and conduct are satisfactory, is given the Institute’s diploma. Diploma students may study in either English or Zulu.

Degree Course
UBI has applied to the Council of Higher Education and hopes to be able to offer a Bachelor of Theology degree programme in the future.

Practical Christian Training
The students are required to obtain fieldwork credits through supervised ministries, such as off campus preaching, teaching, youth ministry, Sunday school teaching, hospital ministry, prison ministry, or any other practical Christian work which may be assigned them either by the school or by their churches in consultation with the school.

Computer Training
UBI provides each student with computer training for use in sermon preparation and church administration. Students are trained to be competent in common programmes like Microsoft Word, MS Exel, MS PowerPoint, Online Bible, Logos, etc.

 

 

Evening School
UBI offers classes in both English and Zulu from 18h00-20h00, four evenings per week. Students may take one or two modules per term for UBI credits. Students may also audit evening school classes for a reduced fee.
