Short-Termers Can Assist with the Work at UBI

1. Teaching & Training: Those suitably qualified can apply for short-term teaching in various fields like Biblical & Practical Theology, Computer Skills, English, etc. In most cases a short-term teacher will stand-in for a missionary-teacher who is on “home-assignment.” There are 48 courses from which to choose! 2. Administration: Short-term professionals and assistants are always welcome to assist us at UBI in various fields like Bookkeeping, Library work, Secretarial work, Course Development, etc.

3. Maintenance: Short-term professionals and volunteers are always welcome to assist us at UBI in various fields like mechanics, electricity, painting, carpentry, re-surfacing of tar roads, re-roofing of old buildings, concrete walkways, etc. The best time for work-teams is during our 2 holiday periods: Dec-Jan and June-July. (Two projects which need urgent attention are the following: the re-wiring of 2 staff houses at UBI and the re-surfacing of UBI’s tar-roads. The latter entails filling holes with concrete and then applying a tar slurry on the existing tar road to seal the cracks. Training will be given on site free of charge!).
